Child Who Survived Cancer Uses Her Art To Help Sick Kids
An 11-year-old in Texas is using her artwork to raise money and awareness for pediatric cancer research.Sadie Keller didn't choose this cause at random. Sadie was diagnosed with Leukemia when she was seven. "This was a picture of me laying down on a hospital bed." Before turning to painting, Sadie found different ways to help other children with their cancer treatment. Sadie started with home videos meant to cheer up fellow patients. As her condition improved, she started a foundation to collect toys for cancer patients at Christmas. Sadie then went to the White House after successfully lobbying for new childhood cancer legislation. "I wanted to take my treatment and turn it into something that would help other kids."

High school senior Jane Mulcahy was on the bus to Highland Park when the woman went into labor. "It was really painful, but I didn’t want anybody to know because there was a lot of people in the bus." "She says 'The baby is coming!'… and I didn’t think she really meant that." Michelle Agyei did mean it though! Minutes later, her baby was on the way. "She had been having contractions maybe like two minutes, and then within about 30 seconds, the baby was born." "We started hearing the sirens and the baby was crying and breathing so we figured it was probably going to be ok." Baby Andrew made his surprise debut weighing in at 6 pounds, 9 ounces. "I thank them for what they did for me yesterday. I really thank them."
