New York Jets Tailgating

Prior to this, the parking lot seemed fairly barren for most of the day. Just before kickoff there was a big influx of fans. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

The later the day got, the more crowded the parking lot got. This photo was taken close to kickoff, when things were starting to get rowdy. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

Another View of the Fan Van
Here, we see Jets fans dancing on the Fan Van’s tables (this did not happen at the Giants tailgate). At one point, there were some Patriots fans dancing on the tables (at a Jets-Colts game, no less). I asked Captain Dave why he tolerated a Pats fan at his tailgate. He reminded me that it was a pretty, 20-something woman, and he had no problem with whomever she cheered for. Every superhero needs a super computer. And Jetman’s sound system was uncomfortably loud. This picture cannot do it justice. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

I took this picture while I was awaiting the sign to show the messaging reminding patrons not to swear too much. Seriously. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

This is Tom Madden’s first year with the Mobile Man Cave. It comes with an awning, big screen TV and a dart board. It felt like a portable pub! (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

This row of tailgaters was one of the rowdiest collection of folks I saw at the tailgate. This was one of the few areas that was crowded from early on. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

Sadly, I didn’t get to sit in it, but this couch was one of the main decorations outside of the bus owned by Jets tailgating legends Joe and Sean Winters. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

Another view of the Winters Brothers’ tailgate. Fifty-six people attended this tailgate, making it their largest recorded tailgate to date. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)
The Old Winters Brothers Bus
The Old Winters Brothers Bus
The huge bus in the previous picture is the “current” bus the Winters Brothers use. Pictured here is their second bus. This is what they took to the Bing National Championship. They feel confident that if they rolled up with their new bus, they’d take the trophy home. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

Sean and Eileen Winters show me the family tailgating photo album. There were plenty of pictures of kids in the album who were full grown at this tailgate. That’s dedication. (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)

There’s a large TV in the back, blocked by a few fans right now. But how unbelievably comfortable do those seats look? (Photo Credit: Brian Cullen)
