Summer is coming… we swear. The weather may still seem to disagree, but the calendar doesn’t lie. Until the sun comes back for good, we’ll continue to dream of better tailgating weather, and prepare for when it arrives.
Experienced tailgaters know the basics. You don’t need me to recount them here. The trick is taking the next step, buying the gear that gets the job done. Music, for example, will probably be a big part of any parking lot or backyard pool party. But the speakers you use to play that music are bound to suffer their share of drops and spills, no matter how careful you are.
Tailgates can get pretty wild. So you’ll need a speaker that can withstand whatever abuse it has coming. That speaker is the NYNE Multimedia Aqua Floatable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker.
With a long rectangular shape, it’s easy to spot and more difficult than most to bump into. Of course, accidents happen. This speaker sports a shock-resistant frame in a float-able waterproof design. That means it won’t blow up if someone slams their beer bottle into it, knocking it off its perch onto the cement and then into the pool. (If you can’t see that happening, you’re not going to the right parties.) Next time you’ll remember to hang it up by its strap.
This speaker connects to devices via, you guessed it, Bluetooth. So anybody willing to share their playlist can jump right in and take over. Music can be controlled from on-board buttons too, using the four equalizer settings. And if you’re playing DJ when a call comes in, the NYNE will pause the music and turn into a speakerphone. (The built-in microphone lets you take calls hands free.) Hang up, and the music will play again. The rechargeable battery lasts a solid 10 hours.
