Opening Day of the baseball season may not be a national holiday, but maybe it should be. It definitely has special significance for sports fans. The long, cold winter — when all of our tailgating moves inside — is over. Spring is here, and we can move the party out of the living room into the parking lot. With baseball stepping into the batter’s box, tailgating season is upon us.
So let’s all head out to the stadium, or at least decamp to the backyard to celebrate America’s pastime with another of America’s pastimes. Tailgate Fan, as always, can help. We’re good like that. Here are a few things to pick up in preparation for baseball and the outdoor tailgating season.

Front Porch Classics Circa Baseball Desktop Game ($34.99)
For a quick warmup, pull out this pinball-style wooden ball field, designed in the style of the classic pinball game. Pitch the ball and swing for the fences. Skill and luck combine to give you and your friends a few innings of fun before going in to your seat or between innings on the radio. Enjoy it all season long.
Grace Digital Indoor/Outdoor Wireless Speakers ($99.99)
Listening to the pregame with earbuds doesn’t let anyone else follow along. And baseball, as we all know, is a team sport. So pop batteries into each of these two wireless speakers, set them apart and stream the broadcast from your mobile device. Now everyone can hear the crack of the bat and smack of the glove. The wireless tech works up to 150 feet away, letting everyone wander and mingle. And don’t worry if the weather turns, as happens this time of year, these puppies are IPX3 certified weatherproof for outside use.
Arctic Zone Eco Blend 45 Can Freezer Tote ($19.99)
This freezer tote can hold 45 cans of your favorite beverage. (Take a second to digest that.) That means you can refrigerate them beforehand and pack them into the bag on your way out the door. The insulated thermal barrier will keep them cold for hours. The bag is rugged enough to sling over your shoulder and pass around once you get to the party. And now there’s no melting ice to clean up.
Stansport Picnic Table and Umbrella Combo Pack ($69.99)
Being on your feet for too long can get tiring. So bring along a table and chairs. This foldable set, constructed of plastic and aluminum, is solid yet lightweight and can seat four comfortably. It even comes with an umbrella to keep the sun out of your eyes. Enjoy the pregame in the parking lot, then pack the tables and chair combo in the trunk and head inside for the first pitch. Taking yourself out to the ballgame just got a little more comfortable.
